Members are required to assist a teacher at DHS once a month.  You may choose to serve on early-release Wednesdays or make arrangements with an individual teacher for a mutually convenient time.  This service is mandatory. If this is a problem for you, please see Mrs. Nehrig immediately.

We are looking into tutoring middle school students at Southwestern Middle School from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. There is a possibility that this could become a mandatory project that we would do on Thursdays.

Upcoming Projects
a. The Neighborhood Center shall be our local focal point for projects
b. Malaria nets in which we raise money to buy nets for families in countries where malaria from mosquitoes is a huge problem. $10.00 can by one net for one family. A possible title for this project is “Nickels for Nets”
c. During the holidays we might do gift wrapping for which the proceeds would go to benefit the Neighborhood Center

Dues are $20.00

Inductions will be around November or December. To be inducted one must have a 3.8 weighted GPA, and maintain a 3.6 after inductions.

In order to receive cords for graduation you must be an active member, meaning participate in the activities that the club offers.

For inductions underclassmen will be matched with current members so that feel more part of the club, and more comfortable.
